MNET have confirmed that there will be a second season to ‘Produce 101‘. This time around, they will be recruiting male trainees instead! MNET have been recruiting many potential agencies to join the lineup of 101 male trainees!
It was recently revealed that there will be many agencies that will be rejoining this survival program from season one. This includes Cube Entertainment, Fantagio, Jellyfish Entertainment and Pledis Entertainment. There are also many new agencies like Brand New Music and MAMAMOO‘s agency RBW to join this show. Other than these details, MNET haven’t revealed any other agencies who will be participating.
‘Produce 101’ season 2 had many obstacles! MNET had said that agencies were hesitant to participate due to the fact of not having many male trainees and not because they were reluctant to join. Agencies also made the decision due to the immense popularity of the first season and their relationship with MNET. It was also revealed that most of them are trainees, with a few idols who have already debuted. This has allowed many interesting participants and many things to anticipate for this season.
On that note, Pledis have confirmed that a NU’EST member will be joining the show. So NU’EST will be halting all promotions and thus allowing the member to attend this show as a participant. So be sure to support the members throughout their journey!
As previously revealed, BoA will be taking on the role as the MC of this season. SG Wannabe‘s Lee Suk Hoon, former After School leader Kahi, Jang Hyunseung and choreographer Kwon Jae Seung will be joining the trainer line up! This is surely very exciting and fans can’t wait for the show to begin!
Trainees will be living in the dorms on the 26th of February, when filming and training camps will begin. This marks the confirmation the start of ‘Produce 101’ season 2! MNET’s goal is to air this season during the first half of the year! So be sure to be on a watch out for more updates of ‘Produce 101’ season 2!
