Have you ever found yourself being a lone wolf or had plans that fell through because someone else couldn’t make it? You still go out because you deserve a night away from reality, yet at one point you find yourself feeling a bit lonesome. Many people will say they pride themselves on independence and have no problem with being alone, but that is not the case for some.
Korea has your go-to back up date when all fails, and if you’re alone that just may be 10x better and safer than Tinder and E-Harmony with their restaurant for singles.
Unlike a singles bar where you meet people knowingly, this restaurant is bringing people together in the most unlikely way, and it’s at the press of a button.
The name of Korea’s most hidden gem is distinctively called ‘Restaurant for Singles‘ which is sure to make you think and question your life at that moment. When you walk in you are greeted by a host who asks you “Are you single?” and once you answer “yes” you are taken to a cubicle perfect for just you but here’s the catch, what appears to be a wall is actually just a movable barrier controlled by this iPad looking device. Once you ordered and your food arrives, the device then asks you if you would like to eat with someone and to answer it with yes or no. Once you’ve press yes, you are then coupled up with whoever is on the other side of the wall which can go 1 of 2 ways.
Either way it is certainly something to get your heart racing.

Have no fear the, restaurants cater their couples with the same care with a special desert to make date night as memorable as the one before.
What is unique and weird about this, is the fact that this is usually something you’d expect from Japan and not so much Korea. Then again, if you’re someone who tends to be a lone wolf, get stood up or just have no one to hang out with, this is actually sounds like a great thing to have as a back up.
What is also pretty cool about it is that it’s taking you back to time where you didn’t have smartphones or wifi but had to rely pretty much on your people skills and I believe it can help even those who are socially awkward. Who knows, you may even meet someone who will be around for a lifetime. It’s the type of thing that belongs in novels or fan fiction, and at the same time, it encourages you to branch out of your comfort zone to do the most dreaded task and that is meeting a new person.
What’s amazing is you don’t have social media to tell you about this person but that exact moment which all you can do is expect the unexpected!
Whatever it’s success rate is, it’s sure to be a hilarious story to tell people one day if you plan to go to Korea. Check out this restaurant for sure it just may be the ultimate dining experience.
