After the news about 2NE1 releasing their first album in 4 years, American Billboard assessed the group’s chances to enter Billboard chart.
Billboard wrote, “According to a posting on YG’s blog by the head producer of 2NE1’s label, and one of the “2014 Billboard International Power Players”, 2NE1’s new album titled “CRUSH” will be filled with wholly new songs.”
And continued, “One of 2NE1’s singles released in Japan will be translated into Korean to be included in the album. The song is highly likely to be “Scream”, a single released in 2012, which stayed in the top 20 place in “Japan Hot 100.”
They went on stating, “There will be three songs directly written and composed by leader CL for the first time, in the new album. Those new songs will be disclosed for the first time at Seoul concert of 2NE1’s world tour on March 1. On February 24, all the songs will be released and the teaser of the music video will be also disclosed.”
Billboard has also assented the likelihood of 2NE1 making it into American chart, saying, “Because 2NE1 has carried out a series of promotions in the United States, including their appearance in America’s Arena Show and other TV shows, they have a high chance of entering Billboard top 200.”
2NE1 wil release their second regular album on on-line music streaming websites on February 24 at midnight. The group will perform the new songs for the first time at the Seoul concert of their second world tour “AON(ALL OR NOTHING)”, which will kick off on March first and second at Olympic Park SK Olympic Handball Hall located in Seoul.
