After releasing many teasers over the past few weeks, ATEEZ has finally made their long-awaited debut. They released an MV for their two title tracks: ‘Treasure‘ and ‘Pirate King‘. They also released their debut album ‘Treasure Ep.1: All to Zero‘.
Check out ATEEZ’s MVs below!
Treasure:
Pirate King (performance version):
The group has surely left a strong first impression with this debut. Both songs are upbeat and will definitely get fans hyped up when listening to them.
‘Treasure‘ starts off with a slow beat. Hong Joong’s voice is melodic and really nice to listen to – he is even able to hit high notes within the first verse. There are many settings in this MV, but it alternates with the group dancing on top of a cliff and individual settings for the members. The settings are those that we saw in teaser videos. It looks like an olden-style town with architecture containing pretty designs on it. It is reminiscent of old Hollywood movies that take place in the Wild West. The choreography is as powerful as the song itself.
‘Pirate King‘ has a heavier beat than ‘Treasure‘. Since this is a performance version, it focuses on their choreography and execution specifically. Even at the start of the song with only instrumentals, the beat is already heavy enough for the group to dance to. It starts off with one member in the middle and the other members around him. The group are wearing white clothes in the coloured setting and cool street-style clothes in the black-and-white setting, including leather jackets. This choreography definitely executes their group dynamic, coordination and synchronisation well.
