On September 15th, duo B.O.Y (B Of You) released the MV for their title track, ‘Miss You’. The song comes off the duo’s 2nd mini album, ‘Phase Two: We’. Check out the MV down below!
B.O.Y (B OF YOU) ‘MISS YOU’ MV:
The lyrics describe the longing of missing a loved one. The mid-tempo track features intermittent calm raps and beautiful emotional vocals from the duo, particularly with the adlibs that harmonious appear in the final chorus.
Moving onto the MV, the whole video features pastel tones giving a calming effect towards the whole production. There is a repeated use of balls of yarn which emphasise this softness. The boys reminisce about memories with another person as different objects are dug up from a mountain of untouched sand. They show off their boyfriend charms with individual close-up shots to the camera as if recreating the memories they had. On an another note, the MV displays scenes of the choreography for the track. There are many smooth yet impressive moments within it, including a floor dance break in the bridge. The effect of the dance is softened with the loose suits and lighter colours the members adorn while performing.
‘Phase Two: We’ features five tracks in total. Prior to this the duo also released two standalone solo singles (not included in this album), one for each member leading up to the album’s release. The boys also started promoting on music shows for the title track a week earlier than the MV’s release so full performances can already be found on YouTube which showcase the duo’s strong live vocals.
