This unfortunate situation all started when B2ST’s Yong Jun Hyung guested on the KBS variety show “Win Win” back in 2012. While on the show the topic of his former CEO and the conflict he had with his previous agency was brought up.
According to Yong Jun Hyung he has been the victim of a “slave contract” that had been for a staggering 10 years, and that at one point the CEO had called him out to bar and in a drunken state had smashed a beer bottle and threatened him with it.
After this episode aired Yong Jun Hyung’s former CEO sued KBS for broadcasting false reports and requesting that they issue a correction.
Since then the court has ordered KBS to issue a correction due to the fact since it is a case of ‘he said he said’, it is hard to say who is telling the truth and who is lying. KBS appealed this decision to a higher court, citing that since there’s no proof that Yong Jun Hyung lied about what happened that they do not feel that they should have to issue a statement of correction. Yong Jun Hyung has participated in the trial coming forward to affirm on the witness stand that everything he said on the show was true.
After Yong Jun Hyung took to the stand with his statements the former CEO has now filed a lawsuit against him as well for perjury.
Cube Entertainment, Yong Jun Hyung’s agency, is trying to be discreet about the situation. They admitted that Yong Jun Hyung appeared as a witness in the case but since the trials are still ongoing, they really cannot release details to the public.
This situation does not seem like it will go away quickly.
