Just before he collected four awards at the 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards, BIGBANG’s G-Dragon attended a press conference where he revealed that he, and a certain Canadian aritst, singer Justin Bieber, had just finished their collaboration and that it will be released sometime next year.
G-Dragon stated “But more than it being a really big project, I think it’ll be an album where artists with the same heart decided to have fun. It was less burdensome than a big album, so I’ll be able to show a better song to the fans. If you have anticipation for it, I’ll reply with an album that will meet those expectations.” The two were seen spending time together in the studio and G-Dragon was also a special guest on the South Korean leg of Bieber’s world tour “Believer.”
G-Dragon is just one of the many YG artists grabbing international attention for their unique talent. For his second studio album G-Dragon collaborated with a host of foreign artists such as Diplo, Baauer, Sky Ferreira, Missy Elliott and Boys Noize.
So now that K-pop is becoming mainstream and our deeply respected artists are branching out, Officially Kmusic wants to know readers’ opinions? Is there a musician that you want to collaborate with your favorite idol?
