2015 has been one busy year for the nine-year veterans, BIGBANG. Coming off a three-year hiatus as a group, they came back bigger and better than ever with their MADE series.
Dropping two title tracks every month from May to August, along with music videos to go with them, and an epic world tour that will have spanned from April 25, 2015 into Feb 23, 2016. Though the singles formed the ‘M’, ‘A’, ‘D’, and ‘E’ of the series, fans were told that there would be a full album to complete it.
In August, YG Entertainment informed everyone that it would be postponed to add new songs and to recharge from the promotions. The previous date was set for September 1st.
Now a rep from YG has let Newsen know that, “BIGBANG will not be able to attend the year-end award shows this year due to production for the postponed full-length album and their tour schedule.” When asked when the new album would be released, the rep added, “They′re working on the album now, but the release date hasn′t been set.” This was according to the interview on December 16th.
TaeYang, TOP, DaeSung, G-Dragon, and SeungRi had attended the MelOn Awards and the Mnet Asian Music Awards, where they performed and accepted their trophies, but they will not be attending SBS′ Gayo Daejun, MBC′s Gayo Daejejeon, or KBS′ Gayo Daesang. It is not know if they will be attending the Seoul Music Awards, or the Golden Disk Awards either.
Considering everything they have done this year and they are still on tour, I am not surprised they need a break to concentrate on the album, which is already behind on a release. Are you looking forward to the new full length album? Tell us about it!
