Amber is surely getting a lot of attention after her solo debut with “Shake That Brass“, not only for the catchy song and awesome music video, but also for the amount of friends who helped her with it.
Billboard recently released an amazing article about Amber’s debut MV, highlighting the big number of celebrities that appeared in it. It’s known that Amber is very popular among K-Pop celebrities, but with this video she proved to be the connection between the biggest and the smaller companies, not judging her friends by age, gender or nationality.
The video features SNSD‘s Taeyeon and Hyoyeon who are from the same company of her, but also miss A‘s Min and Jia and GOT7‘s Jackson who are from another “Big One”, JYP Entertainment. g.o.d‘s Park Junhyung, who is 45 years old, also seems to be close to Amber, who is a lot younger than him. Her friends don’t only stay in the music business, which was proved by the appearences of model Irene Kim and comedian Ahn Youngmi.
Being a Chinese-American Korean star, Amber seems to be the bond between nationalities as well. Her friends in the video include Jia, who is Chinese, Nu’est‘s Aron who is Korean-American, Jackson, who is from Hong Kong and Busker Busker‘s Brad, who is American. To sum up, Amber is an example that should be followed by everyone.
Billboard also praised “Shake That Brass” MV by saying, “The music video is a colorful, bold affair that sees Amber leading a band featuring her all-star cast of friends, hilariously partying in a laundromat and schooling dudes on a basketball court. The pop art-y visual feels like a near-perfect representation of Amber’s personality — known to be one of the quirkiest, and friendliest, in K-pop.”
