The Black Eyed Peas have collaborated with CL for ‘Dopeness‘. This is a track on the group’s latest album ‘Masters of the Sun vol. 1‘, which was released on October 26th. This collaboration joins a longer list of collaborations between K-pop and Western artists that have happened this year already.
Check out the MV below:
The MV starts with an introduction of the artists, as well as the title of the song displayed over a picture of the burning sun. In black-and-white, there are shots of the group and CL walking down a street. It definitely has retro and old school vibes. Even the song has these kinds of vibes. The vehicles and hairstyles are also reminiscent of the 1960s. CL sits atop a motorcycle during her screen time. About halfway through the MV, CL and the group decide to rock a bank. There is finally colour when the money appears in gold. She raps at the end while performing on stage. This MV definitely showcases how cool they are.
