iKON‘s Bobby has released his first solo album ‘Love and Fall’ and the double title tracks ‘Runaway’ and ‘I Love You’.
‘Runaway’ is a song about the rebellious phases of youth and wanting to run away and escape. Bobby has said that he wrote the track not long after he debuted with iKON. He commented, “I think every young person has dreamed about escaping from their regular lives at least once, and that’s what I wrote about.”
His vocals on this track are a bit of a surprise. There is a raw and authentic edge to them which is a great playoff against the rap sequences. It ensure that track has a cohesiveness to it and it feels complete as a track without Bobby trying to hard or wanting to portray the tough-guy rapper image that he is known for.

‘I Love You’ is a refreshing and solid track which is actually about a relationship breaking up under the weight and pressure of time. It’s an EDM track which shows off both sides of Bobby‘s vocal ability, as a singer and rapper. The rap sequences have both hard and soft edges to them which serve to emphasise the lyrics and meaning behind the track.
The clip itself shows the stages of the relationship from falling in love to the inevitable break-down that occurs with time.
