Boyfriend’s popularity in Japan is growing rapidly as their third Japanese single album, “Melody of the Eyes”, ranked number 2 on the Oricon Daily Chart.
The album was released on March 27th and has stayed in the top 5 for a whole week, unlike other albums that dip sharply in sales after the first few days. The album surpassed such popular in Japan groups as KARA, FT Island, MBLAQ and Supernova.
Additionally, Boyfriend’s promotional single has been chosen as the ending theme of the animation “Detective Conan” and the group became the first foreign artist to sing a theme for the animation.
