Boys Republic have announced that they will be ceasing all activities as a group for an indefinite period of time.
Despite their label Universal Music denying the group’s disbandment earlier this year, the announcement was made via post on their official fan café just a few days ago.
The announcement read:
“Firstly, we apologize for this unfortunate news to the Royal Family, who’ve been waiting for their comeback for a long time and supporting them. After a long period of consideration, the Boys Republic members and the agency agreed they’ll be ceasing their activities indefinitely. They’ll be holding a live performance to say a final farewell as a group to the Royal Family. We ask you to show them a lot of love until the end.”
Boys Republic made their debut in June 2013 with the track ‘Party Rock‘, and their last release was in 2017 with the song ‘Closer‘ in Japan. There is no news as yet as to what the future plans for the five members: Onejunn, Sunwoo, Sungjin, Minsu and Suwong are, but when plans are announced we’ll let you know.

The group will be holding ‘Boys Republic The Last Live ‘The End…and‘ on September 30 at 7pm KST at KT & G Sangsangmadang Theatre in Seoul. It has been announced that tickets for the event will be free.
