Brown Eyed Soul signed a contract with Avex Entertainment, one of Japan’s largest entertainment companies, on December 10th. Avex Entertainment will be the representative for them in the Japanese music market.
Brown Eyed Soul is the first R&B and Soul Korean group to sign with Avex Entertainment. Avex mainly has Korean pop acts such as 2ne1, BoA, TVXQ, and many others that are in a completely different genre of music. Many believe that Brown Eyed Soul could show a different aspect of Korean music in Japan even though Korean pop music is extremely popular.
It took nearly two years for Avex Entertainment to come to agreement with Brown Eyed Soul, since they were trying to monitor the group’s concerts and other activities. It is also stated that the group with have promotions that will be lasting longer within Japan than most groups and most of it will be performance-oriented. No information has been released about their first Japanese single release date, since they are still on their nationwide tour in South Korea.
Stay tuned for more information on their Japanese debut!
