On February 21st, BTS released their 4th full album, ‘Map Of The Soul: 7’ as well as the performance film for its title track ‘On’. Check it out below!
BTS ‘ON’ FILM:
The film features the boy group’s very intense choreography for the song. We first see a marching band drumming along to the instrumental of the track, but the band then creates a formation for viewers to be able to see the BTS members. Furthermore, in the middle of the track, the members effortlessly perform a dance break (of which the instrumental behind is not part of the official track), showing off the band’s global appeal and charisma. Overall, the song is an upbeat tune with an uplifting instrumental with some trap elements with the rapping sections.
The film is shot beautifully, being able to see the many formations the choreography will have. ARMYS and K-Pop fans alike are highly anticipating what their future performances of the track will look like, whether it will feature the full-scale band.
Their album ‘Map Of The Soul: 7’ marks a follow up to their 2019 album, ‘Map of The Soul: Persona’. It features 20 tracks, of which 5 were from their 2019 release. Out of the 15 new tracks, only 4 of them are sung by the whole group (‘Black Swan’, ‘On’, ‘Louder Than Bombs’ and ‘We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal’). The rest of them are all either tracks sung by a unit of the members, or are solo songs. The 20th track is exclusive to the digital version of album which id their title track, ‘On’ with a featuring of Australian singer-songwriter Sia.
