After a three year hiatus, actor Cha Seung Won will make his appearance on television in SBS‘ new Wednesday-Thursday drama series “You’re Under Siege” (working title).
Beginning on March 5th, “You’re Under Siege” is scheduled to air after the new drama “Three Days“.
Through YG Entertainment on the 26th he explained, “I’m very excited and pleased to work with the best producing staff in Korea. As I appear on TV after a long break, I’ll do my best to live up to viewers’ expectations with a good acting“.
His character “Seo Pan Seok“, is the head of violent crimes team 2, of police’s criminal affairs division at the Gangnam-pu Police Office. He is the best detective as well as a superb violent crime expert, who is scouted to the criminal affairs division, by the chief of the police station who is in search of a young yet disinterested leader.
Don’t let his looks fool you! Described as a “dirty-sexy and hot-tempered macho man” by YG Entertainment, the detective is extremely enthusiastic and treats each case very seriously.
The new drama is a police drama featuring the aspect of growth and romance of the young offers at the Gangnam-pu Police Office and how the best detective, legendary by name, mentors the four rookies who not only first years, but never imagined to take part in a force like this.
“You’re Under Siege” is creating great buzz even prior to being aired, since it is the first time a collaboration between producer Yook In Sik (who produced “Giant“, “History of a Salaryman“, and “Incarnation Money“) and TV dramatist Lee Jung Sun (known for his scripts of MBS’ “Be Strong Geum-Soon“, “Surgeon Bong Dal-hee” and “Ojakgyo Family“).
