Chad Future recently returned with his new song “Used 2 Be” – a fun tune with the story of a boy who has shed his past self, thanks to a new girl in his life.
The music video offers a ton of cuteness with a dose of reality – people can change.
In the beginning, we see a very cute waitress serve Chad’s character a coffee with a heart design, which already sends the message home: she’s in love! They make eye contact and he scribbles into his notebook “Used 2 B”.
From here on, the video focuses on his process of producing the song and the telling of his story of how a girl changed his world for the better.
If it couldn’t get any cuter than that, Chad shows his girl around the recording studio and they practice the piano together, to which at one point, they hold hands.
Now, of course a music video shouldn’t be all happy and lovey-dovey from start to finish – we need some suspense!
At one point, Chad is out with company, talking to someone else while his girl shows up with a gift and a card reading, “I Love You!”. The person he was talking to, was another girl, who knowing his lover was watching, kissed him.
Obviously upset, his love leaves while crying and eventually Chad runs after her to assure her, he is simply not who he used to be. And so, the video closes with the two happily together!
This concept fits the energy and flow of the song very, very well, establishing an overall concrete piece.
We also can’t forget about Drew Ryan Scott! He was a great supporter in scenes where Chad was producing his new song and lent some nice vocals!
Everything was strung together wonderfully and definitely delivered the message clearly.
