On February 11th, Cherry Bullet released their MV for their digital single ‘Hands Up‘. Check it out down below!
CHERRY BULLET ‘HANDS UP’ MV:
The song’s lyrics describe the feeling of being ready for love and wanting to put your hands up because both people are in the mood. A fun note is that the song’s instrumental samples from Beethoven‘s ‘Für Elise’ in the pre-chorus and end of the track. However, the sound overall of the track is tougher and more girl-crush than any of the group’s other MV releases (‘Q&A’ and ‘Really Really’). The girls stated that last year they showed their lovable Cherry side of the group, but this year they want to show their energetic talented Bullet side.
The MV sees the members in a lab called ‘Cherry Bullet Dev’ developing products for their Cherry Bullet store which sells music, records and video games. Interestingly, the video game motif is in all the group’s MVs. Furthermore, we get to see snippets of the choreography which looks more charismatic and a little sexy than ever before. The same can be said for the outfits, particularly with the orange and black attire in the group shots.
This marks the group’s comeback in approximately 9 months from their 2nd single album, ‘Really Really’ released back in May 2019. Also, it the girl group’s first comeback as 7 members as members Mirae, Kokoro and Linlin terminated their contracts in December last year.
