On October 19th, boy group CIX resumed their teaser releases by dropping the 2nd MV teaser to their forthcoming title track, ‘Jungle’. The track will come off the group’s 3rd mini album, ‘Hello Chapter 3: Hello, Strange Time’. Check it out down below!
CIX ‘JUNGLE’ MV TEASER 2:
The clip begins in a dark ritual-like hall. Two flaming torches stand alight at the end as someone who is knocked unconscious is dragged to the altar. Cutting quickly, we see all the members individually, stranded. Whether it be laying in a boat with hundreds of people gathering for their possession, having sharp arrows narrowly missing their body, being locked up with chains, or having self-moving ropes ready to strangle, all these scenes represent the members’ dire circumstances they are in. We do however see some members break free for example as a crowd of people fight with each other. Following this, the dramatic clip ends with falling into a pool of water.
Throughout the teaser, a restrained synth and melody play over. With a sexier sound and eye catching visuals to the MV, this comeback marks the conclusion of the group’s ‘Hello’ debut album trilogy. Beginning from the group’s inception with 1st mini album, ‘Hello Chapter 1: Hello, Stranger’ back in July 2019, this is also the first comeback for the group in 2020. Initially slated for a June release, member Bae Jinyoung sustained an ankle injury. The group’s company, C9 Entertainment, postponed the comeback to allow the quintet to comeback as a full lineup. This teaser is the first to be revealed post-rescheduling teasers of the EP.
After this MV teaser, the group plan to unveil an album preview and performance teaser, thus leading up to the mini album’s release.
