On August 17th, C9 Entertainment boy group CIX released the MV to their latest title track, ‘WAVE”. This comes off their simultaneously dropped 1st full album, ‘OK Prologue : Be OK’. Following 4 consistent mini albums since their 2019 debut, this full album contains 10 new tracks. Sales are generally higher for full albums so fans are hopeful for a spike in sales above their usual 60,000-80,000 average.
The title track’s lyrics talk about overcoming the waves of forces that go against you in life; to make any progress you can no matter how large or small at your own pace. Its future bass instrumental pulses the song’s positive message along with the guys’ vibrant vocals flying over. Taking a moment of break, the rap section allows the lyrics to punch through harder. Finally, its entry into the final refrain, with its stacked layering of beats gives listeners that extra rush needed for the conclusion.
