CJeS Entertainment recently addressed an incident regarding a netizen who had the motive of spreading false information and slander about their group JYJ.
Cjes Entertainment addressed the consideration as unacceptable and deserves immediate consequences and even addressing any future perpetrators who wish to use defamatory slander towards their CJeS revealed, “Today, a netizen who had spread vicious rumors and false information about the JYJ members on DC (Inside) Gallery came to the office to apologize. The netizen’s parents hoped that there would be special consideration given as the netizen is a minor, but we did not accept. We will carry on with compensation claims and civil action, which we have been doing. There will be no consultation or special consideration given to these netizens.”
Cjes Entertainment is not the only agency to be taking such a stance in defending their artist. YG Entertainment finally took action against a netizen who had been maliciously attacking their artist. This is a growing issue right now and many stars in the Korean entertainment business are taking immediate action, from singer I.U. to actress Baek Ji Young along with many other artist and groups such 2PM regarding the controversial departure of Jay Park, even Ailee who is in the middle of a heated scandal to name a few.
The agency added more to their heeded warning, “Recently, there has been a great increase not just in malicious rumors and false information spread about the JYJ members, but also abusive and slanderous comments corresponding to internet defamation. We are working with the cyber investigative intelligence unit to ensure thorough investigation is carried out. From now on, we will be addressing the spread of malicious rumors and obvious rumors in real time, and netizens who perpetrate such acts will receive stern warnings.”
JYJ’s agency has always held an iron fist towards netizens who commit incriminating acts towards the group. This is not their first time threatening legal action towards to who wish or pal to inflict harm to the their artist. They made a similar statement in December 2012 that that they will not hesitate to take legal action regardless of age nor gender, against those who are brave enough to spread malicious lies about the group.
