CL’s charismatic stage presence wasn’t the only thing that caught fans eyes but rather her stage attire on June 13th at the Ultra Music Korea and it has been caught in the netizens web of scrutiny.
CL rocked a long colorful pattern jacket over a leotard complete with a belt, ripped fishnet stockings and Peter Pan styled boots, along with her latest hair color, gray. At the performance, as CL captivated the audience with 2NE1 tracks and “Baddest Female” they notice one thing about her leotard which was how revealing it was. This is talking about the viral photo that features an action shot of the idol, strutting her stuff and showing off her assets.
While majority of fans felt that CL rocked the event and could care less for what she wore, others did not think so highly and began critiquing the artist for her choice of outfits. All the time female idols are criticized for their choice of clothes that they may/may not had have a choice wearing whether its for a photoshoot or a performance, at the same time it’s what sells. Fans feel CL revealed a little too much and shamed her, but at the end of the day she is just expressing herself and wearing what she wants which is what fashion is about. The only reason this seems to be grabbing attention is not because of her outfit because she has been seen wearing leotards at concerts but its the fact that her bottom was seen. The outfit was tastefully worn and isn’t the worse thing worn to an event, in my opinion it’s very mild compared to how leotards were worn before her. CL like all female idols should feel free to wear what they want and feel confidant in their own body without being shamed.
Stay tuned to how to get CL’s concert look in the upcoming segment “Get the Unnie/Oppa Look“.
