Core Contents Media Forgives a Hacker

Entertainment company, Core Contents Media, decided to forgive the young hacker who hacked their website.

Core Contents Media’s homepage was recently hacked and then shut down. The company immediately filed a report to the Gangnam police station and last May 16th, the hacker was arrested and investigated. It was later discovered that the hacker is a 17-year old high school student who lives in Gangnam province. he turned himself in with his mother. The hacker confessed that he did it out of curiosity. The hacker and his mother also went to Core Contents Media’s office to formally apologize.

Since the hacker was a minor, the company showed mercy. They said, “We requested to forgive the 17-year old hacker.”

The company also added that even though they suffered greatly, they decided to forgive the student and asked him not to do it ever again.
