For those who have been missing Crayon Pop and their unique dorky music videos, it seems like the waiting has come to an end!
On March 15th, the girls released the first MV teaser for their upcoming comeback song “FM.” In it, they’ve transformed into a kind of female Korean version of “Power Rangers,” and developed super powers and the ability of creating colorful and dramatic explosions. Check it out:
This “Power Rangers” concept matched Crayon Pop so well that I can’t believe I had never pictured it before. Also, since their last comeback was about an year ago, this was the perfect way for them to say “Hey, we’re back, and we’ll rule this.”
The song will apparently be produced by Shinsadong Tiger, since Chrome Entertainment had promised a Crayon Pop comeback at the end of March with a song produced by him.
Crayon Pop surely have to be strong for the sake of their company, after Bob Girls‘ disbandment due to Jina‘s health condition, and Loki‘s departure from K-Much in the end of 2014. We hope they suceed with this comeback in order to regain the company’s stability.
The official comeback date still hasn’t been revealed, though the video says it will still be this month. For this reason, stay tuned to keep updated!
