Billboard recently reported on the growing line up of performers for the 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards or MAMA’s as we all know and love them by.
As of this moment, 12 member EXO and 2NE1 have both confirmed that they will be performing, as well as the Swedish duo Icona Pop and legend Stevie Wonder; which we previously reported on, will also be attending the music award show. According to Billboard there are even rumors that Big Bang will be there and that not only will 2NE1 be performing but that it is possible they may be premiering a new single.
Mnet has promised “a stage that has never been seen before” citing that collaboration stages were their goal for this years MAMA”s. During past MAMA’s we have had the pleasure to see such Western stars like Snoop Dogg and B.o.B. perform with K-Pop groups like 2NE1 and Seo In Young.
Perhaps now one of the most anticipated performances might be the collaboration stage between the Norwegian duo, Ylvis and the highly popular Crayon Pop. East and West will collide on “South Korea’s biggest music award show“. Both acts have seen their popularity skyrocket in 2013 and both have taken the route of hilarity with Ylvis’ “clever, but ridiculous, take on EDM” and our loveably quintet’s “hilarious kitschy-cute straight-five engine dance” the stage on November 22 is sure be outstandingly funny.
