Veteran rapper Crucial Star‘s music video for “Paris” is just another example of the overall quality of hip hop you can find in Korea.
The music video itself is like taking a trip with Crucial Star around the city of lights showing scenes in and around the city . The music video is colorful and relaxing which totally fits the songs flow and feel. Often there is this disjointed feel to between the song and the music video, but this is not one of those cases. I think this is the prefect visual accompaniment for the song.
Now for the song its self; I found it to be charming. I know that sounds strange but it is completely befitting the song. It is an excellent song and is a perfect example of the fact that sometimes simple and relaxing is more potent then in-your-face attitude and flashing lights. I love this style of hip hop it is that kind that makes you want to sit back, relax with the beverage of your choice and just hang out.
I am totally a Crucial Star fan now if you get time make sure you check out some of his previous releases like “A Winter Love Song” and “Tonight” , you will not be disappointed that you did.
