Dabit returns to the music scene with ‘Gimme Magic’!
Dabit made his return to the music scene on February 16 with ‘Gimme Magic‘. The track is energetic and playful, lighthearted and free, giving listeners a sense of ‘anything is possible’. The lyrics sing of the excitement of falling in love and how ‘magical’ the whole process can be.
It explores the ideas of new experiences and emotions when you’re falling in love, and the desire to feel more, and experience more, as you spend more time with the special person. The completely English track is a fusion of funk and pop, with undertones of jazz that flow in and out of the chorus. You can’t help but click your fingers and dance along as it plays.
The MV follows Dabit and his friends as they travel around the winter landscape. Despite the chilly weather, the boys are seen enjoying a long road trip towards the lovely winter sea. They skateboard along the shoreline, and share stories around a campfire, enjoying their youth to the fullest. The images expressed in the MV match the overall feel of the track (carefree and young), and the sparklers add that little bit of extra magic!
