*Whispers* SHINee’s back… for their fourth Japanese album. The five member group with SM Entertainment, have released the music video for their title single to the album, ‘DXDXD’.
The album is set to release January 1st, 2016, but the music video dropped on December 13th by Universal Music Japan. The title track refers to dance, dance, dance. If there is one thing SHINee is known for, besides their amazing vocals, stunning visuals, and beautiful personalities, it is their killer choreography.
The members have always been able to execute their dancing with such precision that you could pause any one of their music videos and each one is in sync with each other. Their teamwork is always so extraordinary. ‘DXDXD’ is no exception as the beat is uptempo and quite reminiscent of a classic ‘80s dance hit with a strong drum beat and synthesized sound, not to mention SHINee’s incredible vocals.
The setup of this music video is unlike anything you have seen from the guys of SHINee. It feels angsty, gritty, and in your face. JongHyun, TaeMin, Onew, Key, and MinHo are shown in two scenarios. One is a warehouse where the guys are being filmed separately and with a single bright light in their direction, and the other is their group dance parts which feels slightly futuristic.
SHINee has had a busy year in Japan. They released two songs with ‘Your Number’ and ‘Sing Your Song’, both which will be added to the new album for 2016. They also had their ‘I’m Your Boy’ tour, which was highly successful.
