DAY6 have released their first video teaser for their upcoming title song ‘days gone by’. ‘days gone by’ is the title song of their fourth mini album ‘Remember Us: Youth part 2‘. The mini album consists of eight tracks and follows on from ‘Shoot Me: Youth part 1’ which was released earlier this year. DAY6’s individual silhouette images, teaser images, unit teaser images and group teaser image have all been released.
Day6 ‘days gone by’ first teaser video:
The teaser video starts off with a staring battle with Dowoon before moving on to Jae, Young K, Wonpil and then Sungjin. All five members stare into the camera intensely and show off a nonchalant expression. The teaser is colourful and boasts an extremely retro atmosphere. This leads to a contrast in the seriousness and broodiness the DAY6 members exude to the song’s upbeat nature. Dowoon and Wonpil are seen sporting their new blonde hair that fit perfectly with the fun beats of the song. All members look handsome and chic in the video teaser contrasting the array of colours surrounding them.
‘days gone by’ seems to be a song with strong retro beats and an upbeat, funky rhythm that will instantly remind fans of the 80s. This style is quite different from DAY6’s previous songs whilst still conveying the colour and style unique to the group. The 22 second video teaser showed off brief vocals and DAY6’s unique band sounds. The retro style is something new that DAY6 will be experimenting with.
The difference between the funky beats of the song and the DAY6 member’s chic expressions in their teasers leads to great curiosity! DAY6 will release ‘Remember Us: Youth part 2’ on Friday December 10th at 6pm KST so be ready to check out the music video and album!
