DGNA goes by many names: DGNA, Dae Guk Nam Ah, and, most notably, The Boss. They are one of those bands that continues to make fans wonder why they’re not more well-known, particularly when they share a video like this cover of DBSK‘s “Love in the Ice“. DBSK is a hard act to follow, and they have the kind of vocal prowess that makes covers of their work difficult at best. This video of DGNA shows that they are up to that task.
This is not a professional recording of an official cover, and that is what makes it so special. There is no doubt that this is an impromptu recording of practice room shenanigans, as the members are pacing or kneeling the entire time, and seem to be reading the words off of their phones. But there is no doubt that they are talented singers when the time comes for them to harmonize. Even in the dubious acoustics of that practice room, their voices blend together in a fantastic way. This is the kind of performance that not many singers, let alone groups, can pull off.
What did you think? This is one group that needs more fan attention! Everything I’ve ever heard by them has proven them to be a unique and talented group. There are rumors of a comeback either later this month or at some point next month. You can be sure that we here at Officially KMusic will be keeping our eyes open for it!
Let us know what you think in the comments below and while you’re at it, watch their most recent video, “Why Goodbye“!
