Are you sad because “K-POP STAR 4” ended and now you don’t have a thrilling show that will make you bite your nails? Don’t worry! JYP Entertainment‘s new audition show “Sixteen” will soon start airing!
As we previously mentioned, “Sixteen” will be a survival show similar to YG Entertainment’s “Who Is Next?,” DSP Media‘s “KARA Project,” and Starship Entertainment‘s “NO.MERCY.” Sixteen multi-talented trainees will battle for a spot in JYP’s upcoming girl group.
These other survival shows were indeed fierce, but “Sixteen” will be different from everything we’ve seen so far. JYP Entertainment pursues artists who have their own color and don’t have to be designed to meet the audience’s preferences. It will be a battle of emotion before a battle of techniques, since that’s what Park Jin Young really cares about.
The company had revealed the first exciting teaser video for the show, sharing JYP’s thoughts on it and giving us a sneak peek on the participants. Check it out:
The first of the sixteen participants will be revealed on April 13th, and then the other ones will be revealed daily until April 28th. There was a rumor around about 15&‘s Park Jimin and Baek Ye Rin being part of the show and breaking up their duo, but there is no sight of them among the participants’ tiny images.
“Sixteen” will start airing on May 5th at 11:00PM KST on Mnet, so make sure you keep track so you don’t miss the chance of knowing JYP’s next Wonder Girls or miss A. If you want to keep updated, make sure you follow the show’s official Facebook and Twitter, and stay tuned to Officially Kmusic!
