He goes to the severely burned patient but everyone is caught off guard, as he looks at Seo Jung on the phone assisting Dong Joo.

He continues to ignore them just as head chef bursts into the hospital, upset at the other chefs being burn victims. Dong Joo realizes his patient is the same one that held him down when Teacher Kim was going to cut off his hand. Manger Joo shows up and thanks him for helping the patients and says the Chairman wants to meet with him.
Three hours earlier, at the casino, Teacher Kim helps a stroke patient as Manager Joo watches on and informs the chairman. Joo then takes him to the director. But before he enters, Teacher Kim is beat up. The chairman berates Teacher Kim revealing that he steals money from patients at the casino. As they talk a fire emerges in the kitchen. Teacher Kim rushes in and helps to tame the fire.
Back in the present, Teacher Kim sees the worst burned patient off as he’s flown to a burn center. As he comes back in, Dong Joo approaches him and explains what happened with Seo Jung. Angered that Teacher Kim refuses to listen, Dong Joo tells him that he didn’t want to have a patient die. However, Teacher Kim refuses to hear him out, saying he did it for his own personal gain. As Teacher Kim leaves, Seo Jung falls to her knees begging to be taken back. When Teacher Kim ignores her, Dong Joo angrily tries to punch him but misses every time. Dong Joo yells that Teacher Kim knows nothing of him and his skills, but Teacher Kim simply calls him a fake. Dong Joo tries to go back in once again, but is stopped by Nurse Oh. She angrily has them pulled about and they each get yelled at. When Teacher Kim blames Dong Joo, Nurse Oh goes off on him, telling him that Dong Joo worked extremely hard throughout the day and deserves some respect. She also mentions the fact that he disregarded the begging of everyone because of his demand that Seo Jung leaves. Nurse Oh demands that he reinstate her and before he can make an excuse, takes it as consent.
As Dong Joo writes a letter of resignation, his friend from his old hospital informs him they’re looking for new doctors to replace his loss. After thinking over his missed opportunity, Dong Joo decides to go ahead with the letter. Outside the director’s office, Seo Jung listens in as they discuss what to do with her, and soon Dong Joo joins her. Almost everyone but Teacher Kim is in agreement that Seo Jung should be reinstated. But before an answer can be reached, Dong Joo knocks on the door. He is allowed in and hands his resignation letter over much to the dismay of Chief Jang. Before he leaves he yells at Teacher Kim for being hypocritical as he’s the reason why hospitals are so corrupt. As he goes, Dong Joo offers Seo Jung a chance at a nicer hospital, promising to get her a job if she wants it. On his way downstairs and out the door, Chief Jang continues to try to get Dong Joo to stay, but to no avail. Overhearing Dong Joo yelling about how the hospital isn’t like the big city ones, Seo Jung gets into a fight with Dong Joo accusing him of being selfish. They continue to fight until Seo Jung and Dong Joo ultimately part ways. As Dong Joo continues to get to the door, Chief Jang gets a hold of him. At that same moment the chairmen and Manager Joo arrive.
In Teacher Kim’s office, the chairmen discusses a heart surgery with him. He begs that Teacher Kim do the surgery, insisting that he is the only one he trusts. Teacher Kim continues to hesitate as the chairman keeps prompting him, and it is then revealed that he used to be a heart surgeon.
In the doctor’s lounge, Dong Joo, realizing that Seo Jung is there, begins to pack up loudly. As he shuts the door, Seo Jung turns around but Dong Joo catches her. She acts as if she doesn’t care or notice, but Dong Joo finally gets her to speak and asks if she ever missed him throughout the years. She avoids the question and goes into what she’s been doing over the last five years. Thinking she’s saying she didn’t have time to care about him, Dong Joo sets off to leave. He’s stopped when she reveals she did miss him, but leaves with that as well as some advice after being called by Teacher Kim. As he goes to leave, Nurse Oh stops him prompting him to help one last patient, coming up with a way to make him stay. As he takes care of the patients, Seo Jung sits with Teacher Kim getting her wound accessed. Mirroring scenes continue as Nurse Oh asks why Dong Joo wants to leave, and Teacher Kim asks why Seo Jung wants to stay. Dong Joo goes off about wanting to be the best doctor and how the hospital won’t provide it, while Seo Jung simple states she wants to learn from Teacher Kim. Nurse Oh then asks if Teacher Kim is a good doctor or the best doctor.
At the city hospital, the chairman is giving a list of the best doctors by Dong Joo’s old director. However, the chairmen reveals he already has one. On the phone, Teacher Kim agrees to do the surgery if the chairman gets him the most up to date equipment. The chairman promises, and so Teacher Kim will be doing the surgery. The director prompts the chairman as to why he chose Teacher Kim and the chairman shows a video from the kitchen fire much to the shock of the director.
In the ER, Dong Joo is whisked away by a patient going under cardiac arrest. As he leaves, while doing chest compressions, a dejected Seung Jung arrives. Nurse Oh asks about what happened, and Seo Jung reveals she’ll be able to stay at the hospital but as an orderly. This is until she is deemed fit to have patients of her own. Meanwhile, Dong Joo continues to attempt to revive his patient, and is ultimately successful. Teacher Kim comes in and asks about the patient. He helps the patient as Dong Joo looks on in amazement. Once the patient is taken care of for the most part, Dong Joo asks Teacher Kim if he thinks he’s a good doctor or the best doctor. Seung Jung, still upset, realizes that Dong Joo’s stuff is on the floor and picks it up. While doing so, a book with a photo falls out. Teacher Kim gives a simple reply that he is simply whatever doctor the patient needs most. He also gives advice to Dong Joo telling him to not blame others, but to be a better person than the rest. This statement is something that triggers Dong Joo’s memories from his teenage years. As Dong Joo chases after Teacher Kim, Seung Jung discovers a letter on the back of the picture to a doctor. Dong Joo asks if he was really the doctor that changed his life all those years back, and the director at his old hospital confirms the identity of Teacher Kim as Doctor Bu Yong Joo. As Teacher Kim denies his identity, Seung Joo reads the letter stating that Dong Joo’s life was changed thanks to Bu Yong Joo. The episodes ends with a determined Dong Joo knowing that Teacher Kim is Doctor Bu Yong Joo.
I absolutely love this drama. I think the story is amazing and the development of character even in just four episodes is gorgeous. I was slightly weary at first because the first two episodes were much more intense than I would’ve thought. But now that the main story has begun to roll, it’s not as bad. Not to say I didn’t expect intensity after all it’s a melodrama, but I am very excited that the romance is still there. Though it’s a very, very, small spark, there’s little hints here and there. The main couple, while they need work, are amazing, and the dynamic between the two is beautiful. Overall, the actors are phenomenal, combining comedy in with such a dramatic and intense show is absolutely beautiful. I’m definitely looking forward to what’s to come!
It’s a 10/10, it’s a good watch and keeps you very hooked!
