Not getting the answers he wants, he leaves and meets the trainer on a bench. The trainer reveals Anna isn’t technically Jung Se Joon’s daughter with her last name being Go. Instead while pregnant but unbeknownst to most, Anna’s mother married an American man. He also tells Je Ha about her mother’s death.
Out in town, Yoo Jin meets with a party leader to help further her husband’s campaign. The opposing presidential candidate, Park Kwang Soo overhears and creates a plan.

Back at Se Joon’s speech, some suspicious people make their way into the crowd with bags they got from a panel in the ceiling. Je Ha enters to get Se Joon to visit his daughter but quickly notices the suspicious characters. After being reassured by his co workers that there’s nothing to worry about, Je Ha exits the speech momentarily but notices a skeptical looking police car. Je Ha goes back stage and quickly acts when he thinks the presidential candidate is in danger. As he takes down the suspect, he realizes it’s his co worker K1 as Se Joon is pelted with eggs. Se Joon quickly recovers with an inspiring speech and afterwards reveals it was planned all along. As he goes back to his dressing room to shower, Se Joon invites the make up artist to join him. Realizing this Je Ha acts quickly taking down the two and grabbing Se Joon to make a quick exit while the police raid the place. Je Ha escapes with Se Joon and the police are revealed as Kwang Soo’s croonies.
In the car Se Joon thanks Je Ha but realizes he is being taken to Anna. Je Ha angrily argues with him to go and Se Joon quits his protest. At the JSS Headquarters, Se Joon makes Je Ha promise to always take care of Anna. After making a promise, Se Joon reveals that he’s been treating Anna distantly so that he can get her out of Yoo Jin’s clutches when he gains enough power. One wrong move will make Anna disappear. Je Ha watches as Se Joon approaches Anna but she makes no move until everyone is gone except, once again, Se Joon’s bodyguards and Je Ha listen in. Se Joon puts on an act, knowing Yoo Jin is watching from Cloud 9. He puts on the persona of a caring yet uncaring dad and pretends to not realize Anna had a strawberry allergy, and just like Yoo Jin pushes Anna’s revelation away. As they arrive at the house, a boy appears realizes it’s the angel from Barcelona and takes pictures of Anna . Je Ha lets the kid go much to Anna’s confusion. As they enter the house, Je Ha tests Anna’s obedience with a game of stop and go.
On the street, the trainer who revealed Anna’s past, calls in the newspapers and, under Je Ha’s command, attempts to tell them who her mother is. Je Ha has orchestrated a plan to have Anna reveal herself. He told the boy that as long as he gathers a big crowd outside the house, he’ll let him post the picture of Anna. The boy takes the bait and reveals the picture and address of Anna’s house. Yoo Jin gets wind of what’s happening and orchestrates a plan of her own to kill Anna if she tries to reveal her father. At the house, Je Ha continues with his plan enlisting the help of the maid and J4, as well as scoping for snipers. In the car, Yoo Jin reveals that Anna now has the upper hand.
That night, Anna slips out onto the roof and Je Ha follows quickly. When Anna nearly falls on the roof Je Ha attempts to act quickly but slips himself, and lands hard. Anna tries to question him, but Je Ha doesn’t quite have the answers. As he tries to leave, Anna convinces him to stay and sit. Sitting together, Anna thanks him properly for all he’s done including in Barcelona, and reveals what happened the night her mother died. Her father didn’t come home again and her mother, as she always did when he didn’t come, drank. Young Anna instead of comforting her mother handed her a bottle of sleeping pills and told her to sleep until her father came unknowing what that meant. Upset, Anna sobs as Je Ha holds her until she falls asleep in his arms.
The next day, Kwang Soo is with the chief of police doing some digging to find out more about Je Ha, including his past. Kwang Soo figures out Je Ha was the soldier in the operation he had that killed Je Ha’s fiancé.
I loved these episodes especially episode 8. I can’t quite understand who to like among the politicians anymore because Yoo Jin has become the evil step mother once again. Se Joon, while a super creep, is revealed to actually care about his daughter. What I do know, is that I love that Anna is now empowered. She now has the upper hand, and I think it’ll be awesome to watch how that unfolds along with the new found romance. I think it’s obvious that Je Ha has more than protection in mind. And while I like the action, I am super excited for more of a the romance aspect now that the two have properly met and get along. The roof scene was absolutely one of my favorites, next to the ramen scene of course. And I love seeing Je Ha slip out of his badass, stealthy soldier mode into a dorky man in love who falls on roofs, but acts like it’s no big deal. Clearly it’s a 10/10! The chemistry is absolutely amazing and the character progression is stunning to watch!
