On September 12th, upcoming boy group DRIPPIN released a continuation of the group’s ‘Allegory of Drippin’ videos, now labelled ‘Drippin’s Door’. Just one day later on the 13th, they dropped a profile film further teasing their debut. Check the videos and information out down below!
DRIPPIN ‘ALLEGORY OF DRIPPIN [DRIPPIN’s DOOR]’:
In the first video linked, we see the members all in a dark room with orchestral strings intensely playing in the background. Member Junho stands in front of the other members who all stand behind individual white closed doors. The group all hold their own wooden boxes, which have three holes poking through to allow light to shine through them. As the members all walk towards Junho, they open the final door to reveal a dreamy landscape. An open space filled with light and calm music leads to individual shots of the fresh faced members. The video subsequently ends with all the members ready to smash their boxes into the ground.
PROFILE FILM:
Moving on to the profile film, the video shows the group dressed in various concepts. We initially see the members in all white outfits, surrounded by nature giving off an innocent pure concept. The instrumental that backs the video then has a sudden beat drop, putting the members in fresher sporty colourful looks. Solo shots for each member are shown with heavy lighting effects in the background as they display each member’s name. Finally, the beat minimises again to a lighter sound as we see the members street style clothes. The septet show their charismatic charm in denim, leather and predominantly black outfits/ accents with a blank background. The profile film eventually ends with their logo and a final group shot of the boys in this concept.
Throughout the past week, the 7-member group have been releasing their ‘Allegory of Drippin’ films introducing each member of the upcoming debut line up. The members include Cha Junho (former X1 member), Kim Dongyun, Kim Minseo, Lee Hyeop, Alex, Joo Changuk and Hwang Yunseong. Of these members, all of them except Alex had previously been revealed to be in the line up. Alex will be the maknae (youngest) member of the group and is the only foreign member being half Korean and half German. He will also be the first foreign idol to debut under Woolim Entertainment (home to groups such as INFINITE, LOVELYZ, ROCKET PUNCH and GOLDEN CHILD).
DRIPPIN‘s ages range from 15-21 and will be debuting sometime in October 2020.
