On June 20th, rookie boy group DRIPPIN released the concept trailer to their 1st single album, ‘Free Pass’. So far, the septet have also dropped another set of pastel concept photos.
Debuting in October last year, the group already had a steady following prior to their first official stage. 6 out of the 7 members participated in Mnet‘s idol survival show, ‘Produce X 101’, which resulted in member Junho debuting into its short-lived project group, X1. Furthermore, the 6 also participated in the company’s pre-debut project, W Project 4. Combined with their pre-debut reality show, ‘We Are Drippin’, the septet amassed 52,000 copies sold for their debut mini album, ‘Boyager’, featuring the title track, ‘Nostalgia’. Its follow-up March released EP, ‘A Better Tomorrow’ (title track ‘Young Blood’) sold a respectable 47,000 copies. Both releases showed the group’s ability to capture a trendy youthful, and charismatic concept. With this summer comeback in the works, fans are excited to see what they bring to the table.

DRIPPIN ‘FREE PASS’ CONCEPT TRAILER:
Watching the trailer, we see the members wearing youthful brightly coloured outfits. The casual looks enhance the group’s natural boyish charms. Relaxing in the outdoors under the heat, the speedy panned camera editing showcases the boys as if in a fashion shoot. The final scene shows the Woolim Entertainment juniors running into the sunlight, chasing into the beaming distance. Musically, the instrumental begins with a funky bass guitar that becomes layered on with other instruments throughout. As the beat complexifies and speeds up, it reaches its climax before a light synth releases and we hear the return of the sole bass guitar.
DRIPPIN‘s 1st single album, ‘Free Pass’, is scheduled to drop on June 29th, 6PM KST!
