On September 19th, upcoming seven member boy group ENHYPEN revealed their pre-debut promotion schedule ahead of their imminent group debut. At the same time, they released the initial profile photos for each member. Check the schedule and photos out down below!
ENHYPEN PRE-DEBUT PROMOTION SCHEDULE:
Although the promotion schedule does not have any fixed dates, fans are very excited for their debut and can expect lots of upcoming contents. These include official member profiles, the behind the scenes on photo shoots, practice journals during their training time from each member and V LIVE broadcasts within units of the team and of the whole group. They will also release two spin-off shows with all 22 contestants from Mnet‘s idol survival show ‘I-LAND’ by which the group was formed. Noted at the bottom, they will be announcing a fandom name contest to determine the name for their fans in the future.
PROFILE PHOTOS:
Looking at the profile photos, all of them look dapper in black suits. With the white V-neck under layer and ribbon bow-tie around their neck, the look is youthful. Wearing minimal makeup also highlights their individual natural visuals to us. Furthermore, posing next to a set of televisions and holding cameras prove they are ready to show their fans their contents in the times to come.
As aforementioned, the septet was created from the idol survival show, ‘I-LAND’. They will be managed by Belift Lab, which is a joint venture between Big Hit Labels (who took part in the critiquing of each member during the course of the show) and mass media company CJ E&M. Members consist of Heesung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon and Ni-ki. They come from a range of countries which include South Korea, USA, Australia and Japan. Age wise the members are all between 14-19 years old.
The group’s name stems from the meaning of the similar word, ‘hyphen’. In that, as a hyphen connects words together, the group will connect, discover and grow together. Fans were also quick to point out and try to find other meanings to the naming. This included the fact the word ‘hype’ is within the name. Hence combined with the prefix of ‘en-‘ which typically is added to nouns to mean “within”, the group’s name denotes they will bring hype around fans with their music.
ENHYPEN will be debuting sometime later in 2020.
