Meet & Greet with ERU
Introducing Shop-in–Shop K–Pop by Eru at Parkson Lippo Mall Puri, Jakarta
The “Meet & Greet with Eru” event was held in Parkson Department Store in the Main Atrium of Lippo Mall Puri, West Jakarta, Indonesia.
The main reason for this meeting, was to promote his new store line named “K-pop by Eru,” in which he offers CD’s, t-shirts, leather jackets, hats, bags, purses and other accessories for k-pop fans. His first store was opened in Lotte Shopping Avenue.
This event was supported by performances of Super 9 Boys, Namhana, Lucky 7, and Kevin Chensing. Even Tae Jin-ah, (Eru’s father) a famous trot singer, made an appearance, and performed one of Eru’s songs, “Black Glasses,” just before the event started. After the supporting performance from his father, Eru came up to the stage and first performed the songs that were requested by his fans, before he sang his own songs including “Black Glasses” and “Kemesraan (Indonesian).”
On the Q&A session, he stirred up anticipation for his newest drama, which is set to be aired in Indonesia this December. He also expressed his eagerness to have another collaboration with Indonesian singers, or even a joint concert with other K-pop stars. He was asked about any upcoming albums in the works, and he answered that he is working really hard and is hoping to release one next year. Eru is very thankful towards his beautiful fans who are always supporting him, and he asked them to wait patiently until the next project.
At the signing event, Eru gave albums and signed them for fans, and also took pictures in front of his store. His father also helped, showing his love for his son and the fans.
For those of you who aren’t familiar, Eru was born on July 5th, 1983 in New York (USA) to Korean parents. He is the second and youngest son of one of the most popular and veteran Korean Trot singers, Tae Jin-ah (real name Jo Bang-hun), who was mentioned briefly above. He lived in New York until he was 7 years old, at which point his family moved back to South Korea. At the age of 31, Eru is now established as a prestigious Korean singer, songwriter, and composer. He has successfully launched 6 albums and 4 singles, and reached up to total sales of 1 million copies. Over the length of his career, he has received lot of Music awards in Korea, and in other countries as well. Eru also starred in Indonesian movie “Hello Goodbye” together with Atiqah Hasiholan in 2012, which led him to lot of offers from TV Shows in Korea and Indonesia.
