With the crazy success that they had with “Up and Down,” the girls of EXID are ready for Japanese market!
Even though there is not official news about them promoting in Japan any time soon, it has become clear that they are working toward that goal. It has been revealed that they released their hit song in Japan. The representative of Yedang Entertainment stated: “EXID digitally released ‘Up & Down’ in Japan today… They only released the Korean version as is, and they don’t have plans to promote in Japan yet.” Music distributor Sony Music released the song on Japanese music sites including ‘Recochoku‘ and more, making it widely accessible for fans in Japan.
EXID originally released the song last August, but the song was not so popular until a fan-shot video of member Hani performing her dance routine for the song went viral on several social networking sites several months later.
I’m so happy that girl-groups are gaining more popularity in Korea and internationally, they work just as hard as the boys, but from my perspective they need to work a bit harder to maintain the perfect image of a girl idol. They need to gain fame more with talent, than with their outward appearance.
Are you happy for EXID?
