‘Angel,’ sang by EXO, was composed in 40 minutes!
Shin-Hyuk, debuted as a singer-songwriter through a song called “Robot,” was the one who composed the song ‘Angel.’
Shin-Hyuk revealed, “SMEntertainment & I first worked on this song. Although this song had many issues at first, I was working with EXO so it became a fun time. ‘Angel’ is one of my favourite Medium tempo/Pop Ballad song. I remember it was made in a studio in LA, where I was playing around with the piano until this song suddenly came up. I also remember it took around 40 minutes to get the basis of the song, thus making it an enjoyable memory. This song’s melody may be simple and easy to hear, but in truth this song contained an unfamiliar melody line and a confusing rhythm. Because of that, we had to go through some directing to hear a clearer melody, and therefore the recording of the song was not easy. I’m thankful for the EXO members who worked hard until the end, and composer Yun-Kyoung Cho who fitted this song with the beautiful lyrics.”
Shin-Hyuk’s hit songs are: ‘Right Here’ (Tynishakeli), ‘Supa Luv,’ ‘Supa Luv (A-Rex Remix) (Teen Top), ‘We Don’t Stop’ (Fiestar), ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ (Justin Bieber), ‘Into Your World’ (EXO-K), ‘Angel’ (EXO-M), and Shin-Hyuk’s very own ‘Robot.’
