EXO’s Lay does not disappoint in his newest single ‘what U need?’. The multi-talented Lay shows off his singing, rapping, and dancing skills in this video! In addition to his performance in the music video, Lay also had his hand in composing and arranging the Chinese song.
‘What u need?’ has a light-hearted hip-hop feel to it complementing the groovy bass lines and guitar. As Lay rolls up into an empty parking garage in his fancy Lamborghini, he breaks out in dance. The majority of the music video looks like it was shot in an impressive one take, with the exception of the end near the bridge of the song.
The ending takes a surprise turn with a Michael Jackson inspired ‘Thriller’ ending when Lay’s eyes become possessed as they light up to a deep red! A short teaser followed teasing ‘Lose Control’, which could possibly be another single or his solo album.
