EXO‘s Lay aka Zhang Yixing, recently was asked about former EXO member Luhan‘s latest song ‘Roleplay‘.
According to a Chinese media source Sina, while Lay was participating in an event on February 28th, he was asked about Luhan’s new song which is originally written about sasaengs. In response, Lay commented,
“I don’t know much details. I think everyone is having a hard time. I hope everyone can understand each other and people on both sides hold back a little.”
It is crystal clear that some of the lyrics such as “I have to wear helmets because of the gazes that peek at me everywhere I go. Don’t touch me“, “You chase me day and night; you’re insane“, and “Don’t come to my house’s parking lot anymore. If I see you again, I won’t forgive you” are written to criticize sasaengs directly.
