On June 26th in London, Lay (also known as Zhang Yixing) won an award for the Best Supporting Actor at the 2016 China Britain Film Festival for the film “Ex-Files 2.” This is Lay‘s first acting award after officially starting acting last year with the support of his personal studio in China.
“Ex-Files 2” was a box office hit in China and Lay has made a great impact with his work in the film. Three days after the release, the film gathered 100 million yuan (about $15 million) and that amount doubled after 10 days.
Lay was unable to attend the ceremony due to promotions with EXO, so Director Tian Yusheng accepted it on his behalf. Tian Yusheng said, “Zhang Yixing is very humble and modest when it comes to working. His acting is very genuine and he is a natural when it comes to comedy.”
Congratulations to Lay!
