This morning, SM Entertainment released an official music video for the first track of ‘School Oz’ Hologram Musical starring SHINee’s Key, f(x)’s Luna, Red Velvet’s SeulGi, TVXQ’s Max, and EXO’s Suho and Xiumin. It also features Super Junior’s Leeteuk, SNSD’s YoonA, and solo artist, Jo Eun.
‘School Oz’ is a musical unlike any you have ever seen. Its first screening was on January 14, 2015 at the SMTOWN COEX in Samsungdong, Seoul. It is 3D hologram performance recorded with actual performers and set in a magical land. One of the great parts of it is that while all the main actors are not around, the show can still go on in a movie-like format so fans can enjoy it all year round as promotions for the various bands continue to go on.
With the basis set in the magical land, ‘School OZ’ is a family-friendly fantasy adventure that combines hit songs by SM artists such as ‘Genie’ by SNSD, ‘Mr. Simple’ by Super Junior, ‘Growl’ by EXO, ‘Twinkle’ by SNSD TTS, ‘Mirotic’ by TVXQ, ‘Evil’ by SHINee and many more. The musical follows the search for Dorothy, played by SeulGi, who suddenly disappears the day before an important competition looking for the “greatest knight”.
Previously, the only way to hear the musical was to actually go see it in Seoul. Now SM is releasing it to the public in the forms of an official soundtrack and an official music video of the ‘One Day One Chance’. With Changmin (Max), playing Oscar, starting the video off, joined by clips of Key as David, Luna as Glinda, and Suho and Xiumin playing Hans and Aquila, you get a glimpse of the adventures that ensue in ‘School Oz’ looking for Dorothy. Complete with magical creatures and dragons, ‘School Oz’ looks amazing but check out the video below to see for yourself.
As a huge SM fan, I was ecstatic when the album was released because I do not reside in Korea to go see this amazing musical. When I woke up and saw that SM dropped the music video, it was like they had heard my pleas. Now if I can just get the DVD I will be the happiest fan ever! How did you like the video? Tell us your opinion on it!
