On the 24th of May Young Bros announced that they will be bringing another K-pop artist to a European city near you. Young Bros have been bringing K-pop and K-Hip Hop artists to Europe for over four years with well received results. And this time, they are bringing the legendary Flowsik!
The Flowsik tour will include six European dates, starting on the 1st of June in The Netherlands and wrapping up 8 days later in Poland.
For those who are not familiar with Flowsik, he is an American born Korean rapper who debuted in 2011 as a member of the hip hop group Aziatix. The group won Best New Asian Artist at the Mnet Asian Music Awards later that same year. The group went on to break records with the largest record deal between a US label and an artist from Asia in 2013 when they signed with Cash Money Records. Sadly, the group disbanded in 2015.
Flowsik’s music has a strong hip hop vibe that combines both Korean and English lyrics delivered in his deep and husky voice. Since becoming a solo artist Flowsik has collaborated with many artists, from Dok2 and Kang Min-kyung to Hash Swan and G2. His songs include classic rap songs with a slow pace and intense atmosphere, like ‘DAE 1‘ featuring Daegunz to melodic, sultry numbers like ‘Can’t Sleep‘ featuring Bohyung Kim of SPICA. In 2018 he started a series of collaborations with Jessi. Like Flowsik, Jessi was born in America. She moved to South Korea when she was 15, allowing for strong powerful English lyrics to be mixed with Flowsik’s fast paced Korean raps. The two have so far released the overtly sexual and racy ‘Wet ‘ which has all the ingredients to be a Hip Hop Club anthem. This was followed by the light and summery ‘All I Need‘ which exudes feelings of sunshine and chill beach times.
Flowsik’s eclectic back catalogue will provide something for everyone during this intense European tour!
