FNC Entertainment has made a risky business move in creating a headquarters in North America in search for foreign talent. However, the fact that they have signed their first trainee, named Amanda Lui from their Canadian academy says it’s been a success so far!
Earlier this year FNC Entertainment launched FNC Academy: Global Training Center in Canada as a way to branch out for fresh talent. The academy specializes in preparing those 15 and older in vocal and dance as a way to better equip them to become trainees. On October 21st, the company signed their first officially trainee from the center. Amanda Lui was that lucky contestant to walk away with an exclusive contract after competing in FNC Entertainment’s informal Foreign Talent audition. The fresh faced trainee is both fluent in Chinese and English and was receiving Korean lessons through the FNC center. FNC Global Center revealed Amanda is the first of her kind, almost like a hybrid, “Born with talent, she is the first to be brought out of this new training technique so anticipate a new type of Hallyu star.”
Amanda Lui is being kept under wraps and no official photos have been released, but all eyes will be on her as she makes her way through the grueling years as a trainee and then her eventual debut.
