PSY has made his highly-anticipated comeback with a new song called “Gentleman” on April 12th and he has been receiving a lot of praises from foreign outlets.
The song was released at midnight in 119 countries according to their time zone and right after the release, foreign media outlets such as CNN, Reuters, AFP, Billboard and more covered the release of the song in detail.
CNN talked about the song in its video news section, Billboard expressed its anticipation toward the upcoming release of the music video for the song while British Metro revealed that the song had been uploaded online by nonofficial outlets but was soon blocked by YouTube because of the time zone’s difference (the song was first released in New Zealand).
Another British outlet, Official Charts, reported about PSY’s upcoming “Happiness” concert which will be held on April 13th in Seoul.
American music website, Fuse, commented: “‘Gentleman’ is its [“Gangnam Style”] follow-up and while nothing can compare to the mind-blowingly captivating success that is “Gangnam Style,” this song comes pretty darn close while retaining its own individuality.”
Polish website, wp, wrote: “PSY really is a gentleman! After his worldwide hit song, “Gangnam Style”, the artists has prepared “Gentleman”. The song has been released at the same hour in 119 countries”.
YG Entertainment‘s representative talked about the upcoming music video, stating: “Gentleman will become even more fun if you listen to it while watching its music video. It′s supposed to be music you have to ′watch.′ Every scene contains humor that will get you laughing.”
The music video will feature a lot of top Korean stars, including Brown Eyed Girls’ Ga In, Yoo Jae Suk and more.
