We are sad to inform the passing of former idol singer, Joanne Lee (Legal name:Lee Yeon-ji).
On November 26th, the former singer was involved in a car accident that left her in a coma, as well as caused a few other injuries. She had been in the comatose state for the past month, and then on December 2nd, she passed away. Joanne Lee was 26 years old.
As the story develops, it’s been revealed her brother, Lee Seung-hyun, former member of K-pop boy band Take, has arrived to Los Angeles from Korea amidst of the news of her accident.
Joanne Lee debuted as a singer when she was just 14 years old, and by 21, she was one of the brightest stars of her time. She enjoyed her success until her departure with her company, due to internal conflict. Since then, she lived and worked in Los Angeles as an accountant, and her last official TV appearance was in 2012, on the reality show “Superstar K” on cable channel Mnet.
