After almost two years, FT Island has finally made a comeback. After previously stating that planned in showing PrimaDonnas a new image, fans everywhere waited in excitement.
‘Pray‘ is everything we wanted and more. The music video gives off a darker image than what we are used to from the band. There was a lack of color, the video playing in mono-toned shades of gray. The members shuffle between being trapped in metal cages to jamming out in what looks to be some sort of industrial environment, a giant box of sorts. Whether there is a hidden message is left to the viewer to decipher.
As for the song itself, I was completely blown away. FT Island has become everything they have wanted to be and are finally able to gift us with the sound that they so rightfully deserve to play. Their sound has matured so much, the deep beat and stunning lyrics a step above their past releases.
FT Island has shown that they are capable of creating amazing music no matter what stands in their way. Check out the music video for yourself!
