The staff of fuse.tv picked 25 awesome high school music videos and they decided that Girls’ Generation‘s MV for ‘Oh!’ deserves a spot on the list.
While explaining their choice, they did not forget to mention SM Entertainment‘s tendency to use music video sets, saying, “Hmmm, Girls Generation’s school looks an awful lot like a music video set…”
‘Oh!’ was chosen alongside such famous music videos as Britney Spear‘s ‘Baby One More Time,’ Wheetus‘ ‘Teenage Dirtbag,’ Taylor Swift’s ‘You Belong to Me’ and much more.
‘Oh!’ is the lead single from Girls’ Generation’s the second studio album under the same title which was released on January 25th, 2010. The song quickly became a hit ranking first on various charts within 10 minutes of release. Additionally, for the music video, the group worked with long-time collaborator Rino Nakasone Razalan, whom they had worked with for the group’s previous single, ‘Tell Me Your Wish (Genie),’ for the choreography of ‘oh,’ and director Cheo Soo-hyun. The music video has gained massive popularity with over 67 million views as of August 2013, making it one of the most viewed K-pop videos on YouTube.
