The interview of Big Bang’s G-Dragon by a U.S hip hop magazine, “XXL”, had been gaining a lot of attention.
In the magazine, the title or headline of the article is “Korean Rapper G-Dragon Talks K-Pop Hype, New Album, and Past Scandals.”
In the interview, G-Dragon was asked different questions that start from light topic to getting asked about his scandal then ending the interview talking about his path to be successful, he also pointed out the difference between Big Bang and other idol groups, and talked about himself as a solo artist and as a member of Big Bang.
G-Dragon first stated in the interview, “I had no idea what Rap and Hip Hop were, when I first heard Wu TangCLan’s ‘CREAM’, I fell in love with it, so I begged my mom apply for the summer school program hosted by hip hop collective People Crew, and became the youngest rapper.”
When he was asked about his plagiarism scandal, he stated, “I thought it was just a lack of understanding when it comes to sampling in South Korea. Which is why the misunderstanding happened, it was not all about right or wrong in the incidence, I was upset if people have felt that way. But I am not ashamed in the whole situation.”
Lastly, he said, “When I am part of Big Bang, I look at us as a group and that’s the priority, and I concern about our fans reaction. But when I am on my own, I will show my own funky and punk side.”
